We are excited to release a complete mobile version of Christian Connection, which has been designed to work with the most popular smart phones.
In particular, we have tested this on iPhone, BlackBerry and Android. We will be making ongoing improvements to the mobile views but you can start using them today.
To try out the site on your phone, simply launch your browser on your mobile phone and logon to www.christianconnection.co.uk.

I like the look of the mobile site – it suggests that it is a cut-down version of the main site which would be suitable for those of us on data tariffs.
However, I have noticed that your ‘mobile site’ is actually just a cover over the main site. When I rotate my phone 90 degrees, I can see the full site on my mobile browser. So therefore I am unsure as to the benefit of your ‘mobile version’. It doesn’t save on data, it just makes the page titles more easily accessible…?
Do you have any plans on making a ‘full mobile version’ of your website?
Have you considered making/commissioning an app for iOS + Android?

Thanks for your feedback. You are correct; the mobile version of CC uses the same site, but simply displays an optimised version based on the screen size. This allows us to deliver one site, which will work both on a mobile screen, tablet, laptop or desktop. In turn this keeps our team focussed on site improvements and development, rather than rewriting each time, for each device.
We optimise the CC site so it is light on data transfer, regardless of whether you’re connected on broadband or 3G.
We have seriously considered developing a mobile app and this is something we are open to. However at the moment we don’t have any immediate plans to release an app for either iOS or Andriod.
